A tragic fire in Astana's 'Korkem-3' residential complex was exacerbated by a parked Hyundai that obstructed the road، delaying firefighters and tragically costing the lives of three young children.

The incident unfolded when emergency services arrived at the scene to find their access to the building blocked by the Hyundai. Witnesses reported that it took approximately 20 minutes to locate the vehicle's owner and move the car.

The strategically poor parking of the Hyundai directly in front of the gate significantly hindered the approach of specialized fire-fighting equipment. By the time the road was cleared and firefighters could access the apartment، it was too late to save the children inside.

A Sole Survivor and a Community's Grief

Tragically، only one woman survived the blaze، sustaining third-degree burns. Her three children، aged 13، 5، and a 2-year-old son، perished in the fire.

The incident has sparked outrage among Astana residents، who are demanding accountability for all individuals who park irresponsibly، especially in critical situations. A witness appealed to the public، stating، "Children، let's think of others and not park our cars like this."

The Department of Police has confirmed that preventative discussions have been held with vehicle owners regarding proper parking practices.
