Kazakhstan will increase monthly payouts from the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (ENPF) by 5% starting 1 January 2026، setting a new minimum at 50،851 tenge while keeping the calculation method unchanged. The move aims to protect retirees’ purchasing power and clarify who qualifies for additional support.

How the new payments are calculated

According to ENPF، in the first year of payment the accumulated balance is multiplied by 6.5% and divided by 12 (6.5%/12) to determine the monthly amount.

From the second year onward، the monthly payment is indexed by 5% annually.

Minimum and maximum amounts in 2026

The minimum monthly payout equals at least 70% of the subsistence minimum set for the fiscal year. For 2026، this floor is defined at 50،851 tenge.

There is no cap on the maximum monthly payout؛ it depends on the individual’s total pension savings.

Who qualifies for an uplift coefficient

An increased (uplift) coefficient applies to two categories: people with permanent disabilities in Group 1 or 2، and retirees who have paid mandatory professional pension contributions for at least 60 months.

If a person meets both criteria، the higher of the applicable coefficients is used.

Important note for savers

ENPF payments continue until the balance on the individual account is exhausted. The accumulated funds are the contributor’s property and can be inherited under Kazakhstan’s civil law.
