A devastating road accident on Al-Farabi Avenue in Almaty، which resulted in the deaths of three people، has taken a complex turn. The parents of the entrepreneur deemed responsible for the crash have reportedly approached the victims' family with an offer of compensation، accompanied by a local village administrator. However، the grieving family has firmly rejected any possibility of forgiveness.

The Tragic Collision

The incident occurred on March 21st. The driver of a Zeekr vehicle، identified as 32-year-old entrepreneur Alexander Pak، was found to be at fault. Authorities stated that Pak was driving under the influence and at high speed when he crossed into oncoming traffic، colliding with a Mercedes. The driver of the Mercedes and two passengers tragically lost their lives in the collision.

An Offer of Compensation

According to the victims' family lawyer، Meirman Shekeyev، the day after the accident، Alexander Pak's parents visited the deceased's relatives. They reportedly brought a village administrator with them to the meeting، where they offered financial compensation.

"I was surprised that they didn't come alone،" Shekeyev stated. "According to the relatives، the driver's parents didn't say much in practice، only mentioning a certain amount of compensation."

Despite the offer، the family of the young woman who died maintained a firm stance، stating that forgiveness was out of the question.

Questions Surrounding the Investigation

Lawyer Shekeyev also highlighted another concerning aspect of the case. The mother of the deceased reportedly mentioned seeing a package containing several car license plates during the investigation. Police explained that these plates were found in the Zeekr vehicle.

The lawyer plans to submit relevant documents and inquiries to determine the purpose of these license plates. "If، by using these numbers، they organized races or committed other offenses، then this should not be considered a mere negligent accident،" Shekeyev commented.

Following this incident، Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov dismissed several heads of the Almaty city police department. Additionally، a criminal case has been initiated regarding the inaction of one of the police department heads' drivers، and an internal investigation has been launched within the department.
