Halyk Bank Proposes Hundreds of Billions in Dividends to Shareholders

Halyk Bank، Kazakhstan's leading financial institution، has recommended a significant dividend payout to its shareholders، reflecting the bank's strong performance in 2025. This proposed distribution includes a substantial sum for major shareholders، notably Timur and Dinara Kulibayev.

Dividend Details and Payout Schedule

The bank is proposing a dividend of 30.10 tenge per ordinary share. The payments are slated to commence on May 18، 2026. Considering the total number of outstanding shares، the aggregate dividend payout is expected to exceed 300 billion tenge.

Key Shareholders

Timur and Dinara Kulibayev remain the principal shareholders of Halyk Bank. They control a majority stake in the bank through the 'ALMEX' holding company. Consequently، they are set to receive the largest portion of these dividends.

Halyk Bank's Financial Health

For the fiscal year 2025، Halyk Bank demonstrated growth across all key financial metrics. Net profit reached 1.058 trillion tenge، marking a 14.9% increase compared to 2024. The bank's assets grew by 12.7% to 20.9 trillion tenge. The loan portfolio expanded by 14.3% to 13.1 trillion tenge. The bank's equity also increased to 3.5 trillion tenge، showing a growth of over 14%.

This is not the first time the bank has distributed significant amounts to its shareholders. For instance، dividends following the 2024 results also surpassed 300 billion tenge.

Share Sale Information

Previously، it was reported that the 'ALMEX' holding sold a 7.6% stake in Halyk Bank for $475.41 million. Following this transaction، Timur and Dinara Kulibayev retained approximately 62% of their shares in the bank.
