Firefighters in Almaty demonstrated incredible bravery and quick thinking when they rescued ten animals from a burning two-story building on Botkin Street. The swift response of the emergency services prevented a potential tragedy for the four-legged residents.

A Daring Animal Rescue Operation

As firefighters battled the blaze، they discovered that some occupants were unable to escape the flames on their own. These were the home's beloved pets. The rescue team immediately prioritized their safety، successfully bringing 4 adult cats and 6 puppies out of the smoke-filled apartment.

Some of the puppies were in critical condition due to smoke inhalation and heat. Rescuers administered immediate resuscitation، including spraying them with water and assisting their breathing. While the animals did not sustain physical injuries، they were clearly distressed by the intense heat and smoke.

Fire Cause and Aftermath

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. However، it is confirmed that household items inside the residence were consumed by the flames. The fire was completely extinguished at 4:56 PM. Fortunately، there were no human casualties.

A significant emergency response was mobilized for the incident، with 25 personnel and 7 units of equipment from the Department of Emergency Situations working at the scene.
