Hyundai Auto Kazakhstan has announced a proactive service campaign for owners of the Tucson NX4 FL model، requiring a software update. This initiative is being undertaken as a precautionary measure to ensure optimal system performance.

This action follows a significant recall in the United States، where over 420،000 Hyundai vehicles were subject to a recall due to a software defect that could potentially cause the braking system to activate unexpectedly. While no such issues have been reported in Kazakhstan، the global manufacturer has initiated a service campaign.

Global Initiative Reaches Kazakhstan

Although not officially declared as a recall in the Republic of Kazakhstan، Hyundai Motor Company notified its local subsidiary about a service campaign for the Tucson NX4 FL، commencing on May 25th. This campaign specifically targets certain vehicles sold within Kazakhstan.

Preventative Software Upgrade

Company representatives emphasize that this is a preventative measure focused on updating the software for the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) system. They clarified that vehicles currently do not exhibit any braking problems، but the update is crucial for the auxiliary system's proper functioning under specific road conditions.

Scope of the Campaign

According to Hyundai Motor Company، a total of 388 Tucson NX4 FL vehicles in Kazakhstan are included in this service campaign. Marat Smagulov، Director of Hyundai Auto Kazakhstan، confirmed that there have been no registered complaints or incidents related to the FCA system's performance in the country. The campaign aligns with standard international practices for preventative maintenance.

How to Get the Update

Starting May 26th، official dealerships will begin contacting owners of affected vehicles to schedule appointments for diagnostics and the software update. This service will be provided free of charge and is expected to take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
