Kaspi.kz Updates Transfer Fees: What You Need to Know

Kaspi.kz has updated its terms for transferring money to cards issued by other banks. The cost of these operations will now depend not only on the transfer amount but also on the status of incoming funds to the card. These updated rules، effective from March، apply to both domestic and international transfers within Kazakhstan.

Transfers from Kaspi Gold to Other Bank Cards

When transferring money from Kaspi Gold to a card of another bank within Kazakhstan، a commission of 0.95% of the transfer amount will be charged. However، the bank has set a minimum fee of 200 tenge، meaning even small transfers will incur this minimum charge.

For some users، a more favorable rate is available. Customers who receive income into their Kaspi Gold card will be charged a flat fee of 149 tenge for transfers to other banks. This is significantly more cost-effective than the standard percentage rate، especially for larger sums.

This preferential rate is not universal. It applies when salary، business trip expenses، or payments under civil contracts are credited to the Kaspi Gold account. Essentially، the bank is making interbank transfers cheaper for clients with regular income.

Free Transfers Within Kaspi

Kaspi continues to offer free transfers within its own system. Moving money between your own accounts or from one Kaspi Gold card to another remains commission-free، as before.

Transfers from other banks' cards to Kaspi Gold are also free for the recipient. However، the bank initiating the transfer may still charge its own commission.

International Transfers Also Incur Fees

Transfers from Kaspi Gold to foreign bank cards will also be subject to a 0.95% commission، with a minimum charge of 200 tenge، mirroring the domestic transfer policy.

The feasibility of international transfers is also subject to the rules of payment systems like Visa and Mastercard. Transfers to certain countries may be unavailable due to technical reasons.

Why Transfers Might Fail

Kaspi also enforces limits on transfers. There are restrictions of up to 2،500 US dollars per transaction and up to 10،000 US dollars per month. Exceeding these limits can result in the transfer not being completed.

Money Deducted، But Not Received: What to Do؟

Kaspi addresses situations where money is debited from a card but not immediately credited to the recipient. Such delays are not always errors. The time it takes for funds to arrive depends on the recipient's bank and its processing procedures، which can range from a few minutes to up to three business days.

Other Kaspi.kz News

Kaspi.kz continues to expand its digital services. A new feature allowing the exchange of vehicle registration documents has been introduced in the app. The company also announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and the full year of 2025، along with plans for developing its assets in Turkey.

Among other innovations is the launch of the "Reliable Connection" service، designed to protect against phone and internet fraud. This tool allows children to monitor their parents' suspicious financial activities، helping to prevent monetary losses.

What Has Changed for Customers؟

In summary، while Kaspi maintains free transfers within its system، it now charges a commission for sending money to other banks. The base rate is 0.95% (with a minimum of 200 tenge)، and a preferential rate of 149 tenge is available for customers receiving income into their Kaspi Gold account. These changes will impact the daily financial habits of Kazakhstanis.
