Kazakhstan Makes Historic Halal Beef Export to Saudi Arabia
Kazakhstan has achieved a significant milestone by exporting its first shipment of domestically produced، halal-certified beef to Saudi Arabia. This landmark achievement marks a crucial step forward in the nation's efforts to expand its halal product exports and bolster international trust in its standards.
Halal Certification Gains International Recognition
The Saudi Arabian authorities have officially recognized Kazakhstan's national halal certification. This means that documents issued by Kazakhstan's Institute of Standardization and Metrology are now accepted at the royal level. "KazStandard" has been accredited by the Saudi Halal Center، operating under the Saudi Food and Drug Authority، making it the sole national body authorized to certify products for the Saudi market.
This accreditation is vital as it confirms that Kazakh products meet the stringent requirements of Islamic law. By gaining this recognition، Kazakhstan joins a select group of countries whose halal certificates are officially accepted، paving the way for broader market access.
Expanding Export Horizons
The Association of Agricultural Producers and Exporters of Kazakhstan has been instrumental in facilitating these exports. The association is actively developing international ties through its trade representations in the United Arab Emirates، Saudi Arabia، and Uzbekistan.
Saudi Arabia is known for having one of the most demanding markets for halal products globally. Successfully entering this market not only opens doors to other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries but also significantly enhances the export geography for Kazakh companies. This achievement builds confidence among foreign partners and strengthens Kazakhstan's position as a reliable supplier of halal goods.
A Result of Coordinated Efforts
Specialists from "KazStandard" emphasized that this success is the direct result of systematic work undertaken by the government، relevant industry institutions، and the business sector. The collaborative approach has been key to meeting the rigorous standards required for international halal trade.
