Kazakhstan's figure skating duo، Sofia Samodelkina and Dias Jirenbayev، have completed their performances at the World Figure Skating Championships held in Prague، Czech Republic.

Samodelkina Nears Top Ten Finish

Following the short program، Sofia Samodelkina was positioned in 12th place. In her free skate، she earned 120.58 points، securing an overall score of 187.53 points and finishing in 12th place. This strong performance brought her close to breaking into the top ten on the world stage.

Jirenbayev's Result

Dias Jirenbayev scored 59.34 points in the short program، placing him 35th. Unfortunately، he did not qualify for the free skate program، as he needed to be among the top 24 skaters based on the short program results.

World Champion Crowned

The gold medal at the World Championships was claimed by Japan's Kaori Sakamoto، who became a four-time world champion with a total score of 238.28 points. American skater Ilia Malinin held an interim lead with 111.29 points.
