The earthquake's origin was traced to a depth of 74 kilometers. Residents in Azerbaijan، Turkmenistan، Russia، and Armenia all reported feeling the ground shake.

The Azerbaijani city of Neft Dashlari was the closest populated area to the epicenter، situated approximately 73 kilometers away from the quake's origin point.

Recent Seismic Activity

This event follows a period of increased seismic activity in the Caspian Sea region. Notably، on April 14th، three separate earthquakes were recorded in the same area، with magnitudes of 3.1 and 3.8.
