Hundreds of employees within the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies in Astana are set to lose their jobs as part of a significant restructuring initiative. The national wealth fund announced that 729 positions will be eliminated، representing 11% of its administrative and management personnel.

Optimization and Severance

The layoffs are a direct result of optimization efforts targeting the administrative and management layers of the organization. Employees affected by these cuts will receive severance pay in accordance with labor laws، amounting to one month's average salary. Additional payments may also be provided based on collective agreements.

Financial Efficiency Drive

This move is projected to generate substantial financial savings for the fund. Within nine months following the workforce reduction، Samruk-Kazyna anticipates saving approximately 5 billion tenge. These measures are designed to reduce the company's overall expenditures and enhance financial efficiency.
