Sultan Akzholkyzy، the daughter of the celebrated Kazakh singer Akzhol Meyrbekov، has shared her father's final wishes and his courageous fight against a serious illness.

For over two years، the beloved artist battled a severe ailment، a struggle he faced with remarkable resilience.

A Father's Last Words

Sultan recounted that her father chose to forgo treatment abroad، opting instead for care from domestic doctors. Despite his deteriorating health، Meyrbekov continued to perform، bringing his music to his fans.

"My father underwent eighteen rounds of chemotherapy. He refused to acknowledge the severity of his condition،" Sultan shared. "When we suggested raising funds for treatment abroad، he objected. Yet، even while ill، he performed on stage، never tiring of giving his songs to the people. His final message to us was simply، 'Live well.'"
