Authorities have revealed new information regarding the brutal murder of family members in the Zhylyoi district of the Atyrau region. The investigation has taken a significant turn with the apprehension of the main suspect and his former wife in Indonesia.

Suspects Detained Abroad

According to law enforcement agencies، Sultan Sarsamaliev، the primary suspect in the criminal case، and his ex-wife، Akbayan، were arrested on Lombok Island in Indonesia. The arrests were made in the village of Senaru during a special operation conducted in collaboration with international partners. These swift investigative actions led to the capture of the individuals who were on an international wanted list.

Premeditated Crime

Police reports indicate that the crime was meticulously planned. It is alleged that in November 2025، suspect Sarsamaliev premeditated the intentional murder of two individuals، driven by prolonged domestic disputes and financial motives. Following the commission of the crime، he reportedly concealed the bodies under a farm building، destroyed evidence of bloodstains، and appropriated the victims' property and money in an attempt to evade justice.
