A somber gathering of hundreds، potentially thousands، attended the funeral of Dabyr U.، a 51-year-old man who died while incarcerated in Atyrau. Tragic Circumstances of Death

Dabyr U. passed away on March 22nd، the day of his birthday، following an altercation between inmates at an Atyrau correctional facility. A criminal investigation has been launched into the incident that led to his death.

Conviction and Sentence

The deceased had been sentenced to 25 years in prison for severe child sexual abuse offenses. Court documents indicate he was convicted under Articles 121، Part 4 (rape of a minor) and 124، Part 4 (indecency with a minor) of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan. The victims in the case were identified as two young girls، aged five and eight، who were his stepdaughters.

Community Reaction and Funeral Details

Eyewitnesses reported a significant number of people attending the funeral prayer، including representatives from the city administration and supervisory bodies. Following the service، a commemorative meal was held at a local banquet hall. Dabyr U. was subsequently transported to his hometown in the Zhylyoi district، Kulsary، for burial.
