US Navy Blocks Iranian Ports: No Vessels Breach Blockade in First 24 Hours

The United States Central Command has announced that no vessels were able to breach the naval blockade imposed on Iranian ports during the first 24 hours of its operation. This significant maritime operation began on April 13th.

Extensive Naval and Air Operation

According to CENTCOM، the blockade is being enforced by a substantial force comprising over 10،000 American sailors، Marines، and aviators. They are supported by more than ten warships and dozens of aircraft، ensuring comprehensive coverage of the designated maritime zones.

Initial Blockade Results

In the initial 24-hour period، no ship successfully circumvented the American blockade. Six merchant vessels bound for an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman reportedly complied with the U.S. forces' directives and turned back، as stated in the CENTCOM announcement.

Scope of the Blockade

The blockade applies to all vessels entering or exiting Iranian ports، as well as coastal areas in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. However، U.S. forces continue to ensure maritime security for all ships transiting through the Strait of Hormuz to ports not belonging to Iran.

The U.S. military initiated the blockade of Iranian ports on April 13th at 19:00 Astana time، in accordance with an order from U.S. President Donald Trump.
