VietJet Air has rescheduled its Astana–Cam Ranh service to 05:00 on 7 January after a technical fault grounded the flight on 4 January، leaving roughly 200 passengers waiting more than two days and disrupting peak-season holiday plans.

The carrier says the flight is planned to depart at 05:00 (Astana time) on 7 January، pending the completion of aircraft maintenance work. Passengers have been advised to monitor updates from the airline and their tour operators.

The prolonged disruption stems from a technical issue with the aircraft. Inna Rey، head of the Touristik Qamqor fund، noted the long-haul nature of the route adds complexity، and repairs have taken time to complete.

Kazakh tourists whose return plans from Vietnam were affected have had hotel stays extended. Initial accommodation costs were covered by a tour operator، with further compensation to be coordinated with the airline.

Those unable to depart from Astana were offered two choices: wait for the new flight or cancel the tour. According to the Touristik Qamqor fund، air ticket costs are being refunded promptly. Responsibility for hotel and ground services is still being negotiated between hotels and the airline.
