The lawyer argued that the first-instance court's verdict should remain unchanged، emphasizing that the guilt of the accused has been proven beyond doubt. Background of the Case

Yana Legkodimova was reported missing on October 18، 2025. An extensive eight-month search operation ensued، culminating in the discovery of her body in the summer of 2025. Throughout the investigation and initial trial، Yana's mother consistently advocated for the harshest possible punishment for those responsible for her daughter's death.

In November 2025، the court initially sentenced the perpetrators to life imprisonment. The convicted individuals subsequently filed an appeal against this verdict. Galina Legkodimova، the victim's mother، has reiterated her unwavering stance، demanding that her daughter's killers spend the rest of their lives in prison.
