Aktau residents have been surprised to receive multiple bills for trash collection services، covering several months at once. This has led to confusion among the city's inhabitants، prompting an explanation from the company responsible for waste management، 'Zero Waste Aktau'.

Who is Authorized to Collect Payments؟

'Zero Waste Aktau' has stated that they are the sole legal entity authorized to provide waste collection and transportation services within the city under the centralized system. Although the company began operations on January 1st، several other firms، including 'West Recycling Company'، 'Munaily-Kyzmet'، 'Euroservice JO'، 'Atameken Tazalyk'، 'Sotsservis-A'، and 'Caspiy Operating Aktau'، had previously issued payment notices and collected funds from residents.

During an inspection by the city prosecutor's office، the issuance of waste collection bills was temporarily suspended. However، 'Zero Waste Aktau' continued to provide its full range of waste collection and transportation services throughout this period.

What Should Residents Do؟

Moving forward، all payments for waste collection and transportation services must be made exclusively to 'Zero Waste Aktau'. If residents have already paid other companies for these services during the past months، they are advised to submit written requests to those respective companies to reclaim their funds.

Understanding the Tariffs

The current tariff، approved by the city maslikhat on October 4، 2022، sets the cost for waste collection، transportation، sorting، and disposal at 450 tenge per resident per month (excluding VAT). Effective from October 1st، and in accordance with Kazakhstan's tax legislation، a 16% VAT has been added، bringing the total tariff to 522 tenge per resident per month.
