Aktau is set to undergo a significant transformation as its scenic waterfront embarks on a large-scale redevelopment project. This initiative aims to enhance the region's tourism appeal and create a modern، inviting leisure space for both residents and visitors.

A New Vision for the Aktau Coastline

The ambitious plan will see approximately 4.5 kilometers of the coastline revitalized. The project includes the development of new promenades، dedicated bicycle and jogging paths، observation decks، and interactive fountains. Families will benefit from new children's play areas، while fitness enthusiasts can look forward to dedicated sports zones. The area will also feature a skate park، food courts، service pavilions، and importantly، new piers and equipped beach zones، complete with children's pools.

Prioritizing Environmental Sustainability

Throughout the construction process، modern engineering solutions will be employed to preserve the delicate Caspian Sea coastal ecosystem. These include energy-efficient، solar-powered lighting systems، architectural illumination، and advanced water supply and drainage networks. Extensive landscaping will also be a key feature، enhancing the natural beauty of the area.

Integrating National Identity and Quality Standards

Regional Governor Nurdaulet Kilybay emphasized the importance of reflecting the region's unique historical and cultural identity in the waterfront's architectural design. "It is crucial that the project incorporates national elements، traditional ornaments، and local characteristics to convey the distinct spirit of the region،" Kilybay stated. He also highlighted the need for consultations with elders and community representatives to ensure the design resonates with local heritage. Furthermore، comfortable facilities for yacht club personnel working near the piers are planned. The governor urged for the swift completion of the first phase of construction، stressing that the quality of work must be paramount.

The project commenced in April 2026 and is slated for completion by January 2029. This forward-thinking development is expected to establish Aktau's waterfront as a modern، international-standard destination، significantly boosting the region's tourism potential.
