Police in the Turkistan region have apprehended two brothers suspected of running a large-scale synthetic drug laboratory. The operation was discovered in a rented house on the outskirts of Aris city.

Massive Drug Seizure

During a search of the property، authorities confiscated approximately half a ton of mephedrone in liquid form. Additionally، 1.5 tons of precursor chemicals، essential for drug synthesis، were seized. The raid also uncovered a fully equipped drug production facility، including reactors، flasks، a magnetic stirrer، canisters، and various other necessary equipment.

Potential Penalties and Ongoing Investigation

The seized substances have been sent for analysis. The two brothers face serious charges under Article 297-1 of the Criminal Code، which carries penalties ranging from lengthy prison sentences to life imprisonment. They have been taken into temporary custody as the investigation continues.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has reiterated its commitment to combating drug production and trafficking، assuring the public that efforts to disrupt such criminal activities will persist.
