An explosion involving a gas-air mixture rocked an auto gas filling station in the Almaty district of Aktobe overnight، igniting a substantial fire. The incident occurred in one of the station's overhead tanks، leading to a rapid spread of flames.

Fire Spreads Rapidly

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan، the gas station is located on Akzhar Street. The fire quickly engulfed a second overhead cistern، a parked gas tanker truck، and the operator's room building.

Firefighting Efforts Under High Risk

Firefighters arriving at the scene worked under high-risk conditions to prevent a potential secondary explosion and further spread of the blaze. Approximately 60 personnel and 16 units of equipment from the regional Emergency Situations Department were mobilized to combat the fire.

By morning، firefighters had managed to contain the flames. The fire covered an area of 200 square meters.

No Casualties، Cause Under Investigation

Fortunately، there were no fatalities or injuries reported as a result of the incident. The causes of the explosion and the extent of the damage are currently under investigation.

This is not the first fire incident at a gas station in the Almaty district of Aktobe. Previously، a fire started with a vehicle in the "Zhibek Zholy" residential area before spreading to a gas column at an auto gas filling station.
