A devastating incident has occurred in the Terekty district of the Pavlodar region، where a stepfather has been accused of fatally beating his 3-year-old stepdaughter. Authorities allege the man's actions stemmed from suspicions that the child was not his biological daughter.

A Pattern of Abuse

According to investigative reports، the 26-year-old suspect was raising the young girl and her one-year-old brother with his wife. However، he harbored persistent doubts about the paternity of his eldest child. Prosecutors revealed that between January and September 2025، the suspect frequently subjected the child to physical abuse، including tying her to the bed overnight.

The Fatal Confrontation

The tragic events leading to the child's death reportedly began on the night of the incident. The accused had been drinking alcohol at a neighbor's banya (sauna). Upon returning home، he took the young girl outside and subjected her to a brutal assault. He then carried her to a neighbor's yard and violently threw her onto a concrete floor.

Medical Examination and Charges

Assistant Prosecutor Elena Korneva detailed the horrific sequence of events: "Around 10:00 PM، he took his daughter with him to the banya. Afterwards، in the changing room، while intoxicated، he deliberately threw the child onto the concrete floor."

Following the assault، the suspect transported his daughter to the district hospital. A post-mortem examination revealed severe internal injuries، including a ruptured liver and internal bleeding. The child succumbed to her critical wounds.

The man، who is currently refusing to confess to the charges، faces accusations of torture and murder. He could potentially be sentenced to life imprisonment.
