FCI President Praises Kazakhstan's Efforts in Preserving the Tazy Dog Breed

Tamas Yakkel، President of the International Canine Federation (FCI)، has expressed his admiration for Kazakhstan's commitment to preserving and developing the national Tazy dog breed. During his official visit، Yakkel was particularly impressed by a Tazy sculpture and garden at Akorda، the presidential palace.

National Pride Recognized Internationally

Yakkel conveyed his gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for his personal patronage in safeguarding and promoting the Tazy breed. He noted that the FCI officially recognized the Tazy breed two years ago. This recognition culminated last year when a Tazy dog was crowned 'World Champion' at a global exhibition in Helsinki، a testament to the significant efforts of the Union of Cynologists of Kazakhstan.

Tazy: More Than Just a Dog

"The Tazy is not just a dog؛ it is a part of the national cultural heritage of the Kazakh people،" Yakkel stated. "I am delighted that this breed is finding its rightful place in the world of cynology." He also mentioned being aware that the President owns a Tazy and was captivated by the artistic design of the Tazy-themed garden at Akorda.

State Support for Canine Development

The FCI president emphasized the crucial role of state support for specialists in the cynology field. He highly valued Kazakhstan's contribution to the development of cynology، underscoring the international importance of the FCI's work. Documents and pedigrees certified by the FCI are recognized in 100 countries worldwide.

"I have asked for support for your specialists. A politician or President who supports quality is a great fortune for the citizens of that country،" Yakkel remarked. "I hope to become more familiar with your wonderful country and leave with more good memories. This weekend، I will be judging at an international dog show. I have never seen 60 Tazy dogs at once before، so I am eagerly anticipating this event."

Earlier، on April 30، Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Tamas Yakkel at Akorda. The meeting focused on prospects for cooperation with the international federation in developing domestic dog breeding and preserving the breed's genetic fund.
