Gruesome Details Emerge in Ex-Judge's Murder in Germany
Horrific new details have emerged regarding the death of former judge Aigul Sailiyeva، a Kazakh national who was found deceased in Germany. Her relatives have come forward to describe the brutal circumstances surrounding her murder، painting a grim picture of the violence inflicted upon her.
A Brutal Attack
According to her mother، Sholpan Batkalova، who spoke to the "Oستوروجنو: سوبچاك" YouTube channel، Sailiyeva's body showed signs of extreme mutilation. Her head was reportedly doused with acid or a chemical substance، causing severe burns to her hair and eyes، rendering her face unrecognizable. Soft tissues were allegedly cut away، and her neck bore an injection mark، suspected by the defense to be formalin.
"They butchered her like a sheep،" Batkalova recounted. "They tried to dismember her body. They tried to cut off her head، cut her throat. It's impossible to look at. Acid was poured on her head، burning her hair and eyes."
Sailiyeva's fingers were also severely injured، with her joints severed. Experts believe she may have tried to defend herself، grabbing the knife blade. In total، over 30 stab wounds were found on her body، with injuries to her face and head. She was reportedly only identified by a notch on her nose.
Suspects and Cover-Up Attempt
The lawyer for the family، Zhanna Orazbakhova، believes the murder took place in the apartment where Sailiyeva lived with her husband. The defense suspects that Sailiyeva's mother-in-law، Natalia Dontsova، and her son، Alexander (Sailiyeva's husband)، committed the crime and then attempted to conceal their actions.
Orazbakhova stated that although the apartment was thoroughly cleaned، forensic investigators found traces of blood under a special light. Bloodstains were also discovered in the basement، suggesting the struggle occurred in the apartment and the body was subsequently moved.
"Despite cleaning and washing the apartment to remove the blood، traces of blood were still visible according to the examination data،" Orazbakhova explained. "Traces of blood were found in the basement. Apparently، the conflict happened in the apartment. Then they hid the body. Neighbors also reported hearing noise. Perhaps they dropped the body."
The lawyer highlighted that Sailiyeva was seven months pregnant at the time of her death. She argued that the mother-in-law could not have moved the body to the basement alone، indicating her husband Alexander Dontsov's direct involvement. Orazbakhova theorizes that Dontsov and his mother attacked Sailiyeva simultaneously، stabbing her while also striking her head with a heavy object.
"Why do we believe he was directly involved in the murder؟ Because during the forensic medical examination، when opening the corpse، it was determined that while stabbing vital organs، she also received a blow to the head with a heavy object. It is impossible to stab a person and hit them on the head simultaneously،" the lawyer elaborated.
Discovery of the Body
Zhanat Sailibaev، Aigul's brother، described how her body was found. On the first day of an active search، a bag containing her remains was discovered in a river. According to case files، the bag was thrown into the water the night before the body was found.
"It had absorbed water and swelled slightly. The body appeared larger. Then، that night، they came to us and confirmed it was a woman's body. It was identified as my sister due to the identifying marks – the notch on her nose. The next day، they took my DNA sample، and two days later، the DNA match was confirmed،" Sailibaev said.
Background of the Case
Information about Aigul Sailiyeva's disappearance in Germany surfaced in June 2024. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that on June 5، Kazakh citizens contacted the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Frankfurt am Main، reporting their daughter missing two days prior.
Later، reports emerged of a body being found near the city of Bensheim، identified as the missing person. German media outlet Bild reported that the body was inside a plastic bag and that the woman had been subjected to violence before her death.
German law enforcement initiated a criminal investigation into the homicide. According to the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs، Sailiyeva's mother-in-law، Natalia Dontsova، was declared a suspect by a decision of the Darmstadt City Court. A search was issued for her in Germany and other European countries.
It was later announced that the criminal case regarding Aigul Sailiyeva's murder would be transferred to Russia. Media reports indicate that Natalia Dontsova currently resides in Moscow، as does her son Alexander، who works at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
Aigul Sailiyeva's family is demanding that the suspected murderers be brought to justice.
