Healer 'Bagdagul' Demands Ban on Bayan Maksatkyzy's KeshYou Concert

A social media personality known as 'healer Bagdagul' has voiced strong objections to a concert celebrating the 20th anniversary of the popular Kazakhstani girl group KeshYou. The individual has demanded the event be prohibited and has even appealed directly to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Concerns Over 'Inappropriate' Performances

According to Bagdagul، the KeshYou anniversary concert was characterized by what she described as "immoral displays" and presented a negative example for young people. She expressed bewilderment as to why such an event، featuring what she termed "revealing and indecent scenes" lacking in substance، was permitted to take place during a sacred holiday like Eid al-Adha. The healer argued that the concert's content was fundamentally at odds with Kazakh traditions and customs.

Call for Official Intervention

In her public appeal، Bagdagul criticized the authorities for their perceived indifference to the matter. She contrasted the situation in Kazakhstan with neighboring Muslim countries like Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan، suggesting that similar events would not be tolerated there. Directly addressing the head of state، she urged for legal measures to be taken. "An appeal to Tokayev! Let such indecent show-concerts be legally banned and stopped!" she wrote on her social media page.
