Jeffrey Epstein's Prison Note: Unsealed Document Raises New Questions
A U.S. court has unsealed a mysterious note found in the possession of Jeffrey Epstein، shedding new light on the circumstances surrounding his death in federal custody. The document، kept secret for years، was discovered following an incident where Epstein was found injured in his cell.
The Emergence of the Note
The decision to release the note came after a request from The New York Times. The document was reportedly found within the case files related to Nicholas Tartaglione، Epstein's former cellmate. Tartaglione، a former police officer، is currently serving time for the murders of four individuals.
According to Tartaglione، he discovered the note inside a book after the July 23، 2019 incident. On that day، Epstein was found on his cell floor with a strip of bed linen wrapped around his neck. Approximately three weeks later، the financier was found dead in a Manhattan federal jail.
Content of the Note
The newly released note contains the following message: "They interrogated me for a month – found nothing!!! Do you know how wonderful it is to choose your own farewell time؟! What would you want me to do – cry؟! There is no pleasure in that. It's not worth it."
However، the identity of the author of this text remains unknown. The note was not mentioned in the official reports regarding Epstein's death and was not included in materials previously released by the U.S. Department of Justice.
Official Narrative and Lingering Doubts
According to prison documents، the incident in July resulted in visible marks and skin irritation on Epstein's neck. He later denied attempting suicide، stating that suicide contradicted his religious beliefs.
Epstein was found dead on August 10، 2019، in a Manhattan federal jail. The official cause of death was ruled a suicide. Nevertheless، the circumstances surrounding Epstein's demise continue to be a focal point for various controversies and conspiracy theories.
