Kazakh Blogger Kaisar Kamza Addresses Arrest Rumors from Vietnam
Following widespread reports of his detention، popular Kazakh blogger Kaisar Kamza has released a video from Vietnam to address the situation.
Kamza shared an update via the 'Stories' section of his Instagram page، explaining the circumstances he is currently facing.
Update from Vietnam
In the video، the blogger mentioned that he had recently visited Kazakhstan but subsequently returned to Nha Trang، Vietnam. He is currently awaiting a decision regarding his extradition and confirmed that his passport has been confiscated by immigration authorities.
"Please wish me well. I wanted to share this. See you in better times!" Kamza stated in his message.
Background of the Arrest
Earlier، on April 13، the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan announced that Kaisar Kamza، who was on an international wanted list، had been apprehended in Vietnam. The ministry indicated that the operation was conducted through Interpol، in cooperation with Kazakh and Vietnamese law enforcement agencies.
Reason for the Wanted Status
It is recalled that a wanted notice for blogger Kaisar Kamza was published on the Legal Statistics and Special Accounts portal in January of this year. The search was initiated by the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring (AFM) and was being conducted by the Department of Economic Investigations for the city of Astana. According to official information، the search case was registered on January 10، 2026.
It was later revealed that the blogger is suspected of assisting illegal gambling businesses. The AFM reported that Kaisar Kamza had been actively blogging under the username 'qais_arr' on Instagram for approximately five years، accumulating around 2.4 million followers. He also managed a private Telegram channel called 'Qora Entertainment،' which had an audience of approximately 368،000 people.
"Using his personal social media accounts، Kamza K.B. consistently published links and promotional materials inviting Kazakh citizens to register and participate in gambling on the Pinco website. Additionally، he posted a personal promo code under the videos، offering bonuses to users،" the AFM reported.
