A Kazakh national، widely recognized on social media as the "Atyrau Hacker،" has been detained in Turkey، and authorities are now reviewing his extradition back to Kazakhstan.

The 32-year-old resident of the Atyrau region، who gained notoriety under the online alias "hacker.atyrau،" has not yet been returned to his home country. He was apprehended by Interpol officers in Turkey.

Investigation and Charges

According to the Atyrau Regional Police Department، the process of returning the suspect is currently under review، with an official response received on March 20th. The department's investigative unit initiated a pre-trial investigation against the 32-year-old man under Article 190، Part 3، Clause 1 of the Criminal Code، pertaining to large-scale fraud. The individual had been placed on an international wanted list.

Detention Period and Extradition Process

Police reports indicate that the individual known as the "Atyrau Hacker" was on the run for 71 days. The search was initiated in the Atyrau region on January 9، 2026. He is currently detained in Turkey، and the details of his extradition to Kazakhstan are being finalized.
