Kazakh Singer Meruert Tussupbaeva Speaks Out on Alleged TV Blacklist
Prominent Kazakh singer Meruert Tussupbaeva has broken her silence on a sensitive issue within the entertainment industry، revealing that her projects have been removed from the airwaves of two major television channels، Qazaqstan and Khabar. This development appears to corroborate earlier media reports about a colleague being placed on a "black list."
Addressing the "Black List"
Tussupbaeva approached the situation with a sense of calm، noting her experience in the industry. "I'm not a young singer، so I accepted this calmly. Let the young ones come up، thank God. I wasn't too worried،" she stated.
However، the singer expressed disappointment that her prepared projects were not aired. She detailed how Khabar channel had specifically invited her to film music videos for five songs. The production involved a large team of 8-9 camera operators and the creation of several distinct visual concepts.
"Effort Went to Waste"
"Five songs were filmed، a large team worked on them. So much energy، effort، and time were spent – and in the end، nothing came of it. They weren't broadcast،" Tussupbaeva shared candidly.
Additionally، she mentioned that a song prepared for the "Tansholpan" program was also not shown. Her attempts to get a clear explanation from the program's host were unsuccessful.
Continued Creativity and Gratitude
Despite these setbacks، Meruert Tussupbaeva affirmed her commitment to continuing her creative journey and expressed deep gratitude to her audience. "The most important thing is that my people are well. My fans are well. Even if my name isn't in the history of Bayanaul، it will remain،" the singer concluded.
As of now، there has been no official comment from the television channels regarding this matter.
