Kazakhstan is undertaking a major infrastructure project، the construction of the new Moyinty-Kyzylzhar railway line، aiming to bolster its position as a crucial transit hub between Asia and Europe. Spanning over 300 kilometers، the new railway will serve as a critical segment of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. The project is currently in an active construction phase، involving more than 300 specialists and over 670 pieces of equipment. Work is progressing simultaneously across multiple sections، encompassing everything from earthmoving and track laying to bridge construction.

Strategic Importance for Regional Logistics

The new line will connect the Moyinty and Kyzylzhar stations، passing through the Karaganda and Ulytau regions. This strategic infrastructure is expected to fundamentally alter regional logistics. Once operational، it will shorten freight transport distances by 149 kilometers، leading to reduced delivery times، fuel savings، and faster wagon turnaround. This enhancement will boost the competitiveness of transit through Kazakhstan.

Furthermore، this new artery will alleviate congestion on the existing Moyinty-Zharyk section، which currently handles a high volume of freight، including container trains on international routes.
