The preparation for the Moscow finals had been underway for two months when، just two weeks prior، she received word from the Ministry of Culture that Bachtiyar Tailakbaev، who had not participated in the initial selection، would be taking her place.

"I remember crying and feeling utterly devastated،" Zhunusova wrote، reflecting on the injustice of the situation. She described the event as a profound moment of unfairness that has remained etched in her memory.
