Firefighters Battle Intense Blaze

Upon arrival، firefighters found the entire structure consumed by fire. According to Manarbek Shapagatov، head of the Abai Regional Department of Emergency Situations، a portion of the roof had already collapsed. He highlighted the significant dangers involved in combating the blaze، stating، "The interior of the building is completely engulfed in flames. According to the administration، people managed to evacuate. We are conducting reconnaissance and extinguishing the fire. There is a risk of structural collapse، making a full reconnaissance difficult."

Challenges in Fire Suppression

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the fire had reached an advanced stage، with half of the roof caving in. The intensity of the fire and heavy smoke are complicating suppression efforts. Firefighting crews are utilizing water mains and high-reach equipment to combat the inferno. A command post has been established to coordinate the continuous supply of water and manage the operation.

Evacuation and Safety Measures

Emergency services confirmed that evacuation procedures for visitors and staff were successfully carried out. Measures are in place to ensure public order and the safety of citizens in the vicinity. Videos circulating online show children being safely escorted from the burning center.

Preliminary reports indicate that there have been no casualties. The exact area affected by the fire and its cause are currently under investigation.
