Renowned actor Tungyshbay Zhamankulov has opened up about his unique love story and marriage to Dariya Abdimalikyzy Zhusip، sharing previously unheard details about how their relationship blossomed.
The celebrated actor revealed that he fell deeply in love with and subsequently married Dariya، who was his student. Zhamankulov described how his feelings for Dariya grew gradually، transforming into a profound love.

"I married my student، Dariya،" Zhamankulov shared with a touch of humor. "She captivated me، I fell in love، and we got married. She is quite a bit younger. There's a 24-year age difference between us. Thankfully، we have two sons and a daughter، and they are with me. I can't guarantee she won't still be in charge،" he joked.
The actor expressed his deep affection for his wife and satisfaction with his family life، emphasizing that the heart cannot be commanded and that life often brings unexpected turns.
Who is Tungyshbay Zhamankulov؟
Tungyshbay Kadyruly Zhamankulov is a prominent figure in Kazakh theater and cinema، also known as a director and theater pedagogue. Born in the Zhambyl region in 1948، he showed an early passion for the arts، ultimately choosing acting as his profession.
He joined the Mukhtar Auezov Kazakh State Academic Drama Theater in 1970 and graduated from the acting faculty of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory in 1973. On stage، he portrayed numerous memorable characters، including Baktygul، Syrym، and Khan Ablai، earning widespread audience acclaim.
In cinema، Zhamankulov received the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan for his role as Khairkhan in the film "The Fall of Otrar." Beyond his acting career، he has made significant contributions as a director. From 1993 to 2001، he served as the General Director of the Mukhtar Auezov Theater.
For his contributions، Tungyshbay Zhamankulov has been honored with the titles of Honored Artist of Kazakhstan and People's Artist of Kazakhstan، and has been awarded the Parasat and Dostyk Orders.
