Renowned Poet and Public Figure Zukai Sharbakynuly Passes Away

Kazakhstan is mourning the loss of Zukai Sharbakynuly، a distinguished poet، writer، and public figure whose passing leaves a significant void in the nation's literary and cultural landscape. The news was announced by the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan، highlighting his substantial contributions to Kazakh literature and culture.

A Life Dedicated to Literature and Public Service

Born in Mongolia in 1940، Zukai Sharbakynuly pursued his education at the Mongolian Pedagogical Institute and the Higher Party School. He began his career in various responsible positions within the sports and administrative sectors in Mongolia's Bayan-Ölgii province.

His literary journey began in the 1960s، leading to the publication of numerous collections of poems، dastans، and historical narratives. Between 1970 and 1990، several of his poetry collections، including "Kökpar،" "Aq jangbyr،" and "Syr marjandary،" were released in Mongolia.

Contributions After Returning to Kazakhstan

Upon his return to his ancestral homeland in 1992، Sharbakynuly continued his active career. He served as a deputy director of a state farm and later as a senior specialist in the migration department of the Akmola regional administration.

During his time in Kazakhstan، he authored several prose works such as "Kieli qannyng tamshysy" and "Nar tulga،" alongside poetry collections like "Aybynym - Atamekenim" and "Aspan asty – keng meken." He was the author of over 20 books and a recipient of numerous poetry competition awards.

Sharbakynuly was a member of the Mongolian Writers' Union since 1975 and joined the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan in 1993.

National Mourning and Legacy

The Union of Writers of Kazakhstan expressed its condolences، stating، "We share the grief of the deceased's relatives، friends، and colleagues. The passing of this writer، who served the art of words with dedication and held a unique place in Kazakh literature and spirituality، is an irreplaceable and profound sorrow for the entire nation. The bright image of this respected figure، who left behind an indelible mark and a valuable legacy، will forever be preserved in the memory of the people."
