A wave of mass livestock killings in several villages across Russia's Novosibirsk Oblast has triggered widespread public outcry and deep suspicion towards official explanations. Residents claim that official documents providing a clear diagnosis for the culling are absent. Furthermore، the compensation offered for the culled animals is reportedly meager، pushing many families towards poverty. For instance، the offered price of 170 rubles per kilogram (approximately 1،000 tenge) stands in stark contrast to the market price of beef، which can reach up to 1،300 rubles per kilogram (around 7،800 tenge).

A particularly poignant incident that has become a symbol of the community's distress involves the shooting of a beloved calf، reportedly without any veterinary analysis. This act has fueled the public's anger and sense of injustice.

According to Telegram channels، in the Kupino district alone، one farm lost 3 camels، over 40 cows، and approximately 150 sheep. These operations were allegedly carried out while the animal owners were not present at their homes.

Distraught residents have sent a video appeal to President Putin، pleading for protection for their livestock and urging him not to deprive them of their sole source of livelihood. They fear that the current situation could lead to widespread famine.
