Sixth Volume of Kazakhstan's History Approved for Publication

A significant milestone in documenting the nation's past has been reached with the approval of the sixth volume of Kazakhstan's seven-volume academic history series. The editorial board convened in Almaty to review the manuscript، which covers the country's Soviet period.

Soviet Era History Finalized

The meeting was chaired by State Counselor Yerlan Karin. The core of the session focused on the manuscript for the sixth volume، detailing Kazakhstan's history during the Soviet era. Kulgazyra Baltabayeva، head of the author collective and a Candidate of Historical Sciences، presented the revised content. This updated version incorporated feedback and suggestions from the editorial board members during a previous session.

Extensive Revisions Made

During the revision process، over 120 comments and recommendations were addressed. Baltabayeva highlighted that the sixth volume is structured into seven parts، 19 chapters، and 126 paragraphs. The collective effort involved more than 70 scholars and researchers in its creation.

Expert Reviews and Discussions

The editorial board heard reviews from prominent academics، including Burkitbay Ayagan، Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor؛ Aigul Sadvokassova، Doctor of Social Sciences and Director General of the Institute of Philosophy، Political Science، and Religion؛ and Andrey Chebotarev، Candidate of Political Sciences and Director of the 'Alternative' Center for Actual Research. Other board members، such as Mambet Koigeldyev، Kenzhehan Matyzhanov، Dykhan Kamzabekuly، Nursan Alimbay، Erkin Abyl، and Khankeldy Abzhanov، also shared their insights and perspectives.

Volume Approved for Print

Following the discussions، the editorial board unanimously decided to approve the sixth volume for publication. The next meeting will focus on the final، seventh volume of the 'History of Kazakhstan: From Ancient Times to the Present Day' series، which is dedicated to the period of independent Kazakhstan.

This extensive historical project aims to provide a definitive academic account of Kazakhstan's journey through various epochs.
