Almaty residents will find it significantly easier to access a crucial social service. The process for determining disability and the degree of work capacity loss can now be scheduled online in advance. This marks a significant improvement over the previous system, which often involved lengthy waiting periods.

Online Appointment System Explained

Citizens can now book appointments for the state service, "Determination of disability and (or) degree of loss of work capacity and identification of necessary social protection measures," through the Social Services Portal. This system allows individuals to select a convenient date and time for their medical-social examination (MSE).

The system automatically directs users to the MSE department based on their registered address. Once the appointment is confirmed, an SMS notification will be sent to their phone. This message includes the ticket number, address, and appointment time. Additionally, the system sends a reminder three days before the scheduled meeting. If needed, appointments can be easily canceled through the personal account.

Pilot Program Success and Expansion

This electronic queuing system was previously piloted in the Akmola region, where it demonstrated positive results. According to the relevant department, the initiative successfully reduced waiting times and decreased queues.

The project for Almaty city is currently under discussion and is expected to be finalized by March 19.
