A decision to stop supplying heat will be made only when the weather consistently warms up. Specifically, the city administration has stated that heating will be turned off if the average daily temperature remains above +10 degrees Celsius for five consecutive days.

Spring Weather Outlook

According to weather forecasts, temperatures in Astana are expected to rise gradually in early April. By April 1st, daytime temperatures could reach +13...+15 degrees Celsius, climbing further to +16...+20 degrees on April 2nd and 3rd. This warmer trend is projected to continue from April 4th to 8th, with daytime highs hovering around +16...+20 degrees. However, forecasters also warn of potential windy conditions and precipitation, including rain, fog, and gusts of wind up to 15-20 meters per second.

Towards the end of April, around the 9th and 10th, a slight decrease in temperature is anticipated, with daytime highs dropping to +13...+17 degrees. Some areas might experience precipitation in the form of rain and possibly snow.

Despite the generally warmer weather expected in early April, the definitive step to end the heating season hinges on the five-day average daily temperature exceeding +10 degrees Celsius. Only when this crucial criterion is met will the city administration officially announce the conclusion of the heating period.
