Astana's Major Avenue Closed for Three Weeks for Road Repairs

Drivers in Astana should prepare for significant traffic disruptions as one of the city's busiest avenues, Nurghisa Tlendiyev Avenue, will undergo essential road repairs. The extensive work will limit vehicle movement for nearly three weeks, potentially causing considerable delays.

Roadwork Schedule and Scope

According to the Astana City Administration, the road repair project is scheduled to commence on May 8 and conclude on May 25. The affected section of the avenue spans from Kartaly Street to Barshyyn Street.

Traffic Adjustments During Repairs

While the avenue will not be entirely closed, traffic flow will be partially restricted. Vehicles in both directions will be rerouted to use only one side of the avenue. This measure is expected to alter traffic patterns and may lead to congestion in the area.

Temporary signs and instructions will be installed along the route to guide drivers. City officials are urging residents and visitors to plan their journeys in advance and consider these temporary restrictions when mapping out their travel routes.

This closure follows a previous traffic limitation near the 'Astana Arena' for an Open Air event.
