Body of Missing Man Found in Almaty After Months-Long Search
The search for Pavel Kolomytsev, who vanished without a trace in Almaty in December 2025, has concluded with the discovery of his body. The news was shared by volunteers on the Lider.kz Instagram page, confirming the end of a prolonged and anxious search.
Kolomytsev was last seen on December 13, 2025, having last communicated at 3:30 PM before his disappearance. His mobile phone was reportedly switched off near the village of Talsuat in the Kyzylorda region, according to police information.
Search Details
At the time of his disappearance, Pavel Kolomytsev was described as 160 cm tall with a lean build and bald. He had brown eyes and distinctive large tattoos on both hands. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black trousers, black sneakers, and a knitted hat.
He was believed to be carrying a grey suitcase and a pendant with a wolf's tooth.
Discovery of Remains
The volunteers' update on March 30, 2026, confirmed that Pavel Kolomytsev's remains had been found, bringing a somber conclusion to the extensive search efforts that had captivated the community.
