The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has officially confirmed a thrilling rematch between Irish superstar Conor McGregor and American fighter Max Holloway. This highly anticipated bout is set to headline UFC 329.

The fight will take place in the welterweight division on July 11th in Las Vegas, Nevada. McGregor and Holloway first met over a decade ago, on August 17, 2013. In their initial encounter, McGregor emerged victorious via unanimous decision, marking a significant early win in his career.

Conor McGregor is a former two-division champion and the first fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold titles in two different weight classes. His last appearance in the octagon was at UFC 264 on July 11, 2021, where he suffered a first-round TKO due to a broken leg during his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier.

Max Holloway: A Featherweight Great

Max Holloway is widely regarded as one of the greatest featherweight fighters in UFC history and is a former champion in the division. He secured the featherweight title at UFC 212 in 2017 by defeating Jose Aldo via TKO. Holloway successfully defended his title three times before losing it. His most recent fight was at UFC 326 in March 2026, where he lost the BMF title to Charles Oliveira.
