Dariga Badykova Loses Lawsuit Against Ex-Husband and Journalist
Public figure Dariga Badykova has lost a significant court case involving her ex-husband, Nurseit Zhylkyshibai, and journalist Nurseit Zhylkyshibai. The ruling, announced by lawyer Inga Imanbay, saw all of Badykova's demands dismissed.
Badykova's Demands Rejected
Badykova had filed a lawsuit seeking to invalidate an interview published on YouTube on October 4, 2025. She demanded the removal of the video, a public apology for statements made, and compensation totaling over 4 million tenge. This included 1 million tenge for moral damages, 2.5 million tenge for legal fees, and 802,000 tenge for expert examination costs.
Journalist Fully Acquitted
The court, however, did not grant any of Badykova's requests. Lawyer Inga Imanbay represented journalist Nurseit Zhylkyshibai in court, successfully defending him against all claims. The court's decision fully acquitted the journalist.
This concludes the legal battle where Badykova sought to have the interview content deemed false and to recover substantial financial damages.
