Ex-Wife of Bolat Nazarbayev Alleges Fraud Over 2011 Property Deal
Maira Kurmangaliyeva, the former wife of Bolat Nazarbayev, has lodged a formal complaint with law enforcement agencies regarding an alleged fraud case. The complaint implicates Bolat Nazarbayev and several individuals associated with him.
Dispute Over Real Estate
According to Kurmangaliyeva, while she was abroad in 2011, close associates of Bolat Nazarbayev allegedly gained her trust and subsequently acquired several of her real estate properties in Almaty. Investigations into this matter are currently underway by the relevant authorities.
Past Legal Entanglements
This is not the first time Kurmangaliyeva has been in the spotlight of law enforcement. Between 2011 and 2012, she was reportedly on an international wanted list facing accusations of fraud, extortion, and illegal deprivation of liberty.
Furthermore, in 2022, the Agency for Financial Monitoring announced the reopening of an investigation into Kurmangaliyeva concerning a case of alleged raiding and seizure of assets.
