A fire incident occurred in the basement of a children's hospital in Astana, Kazakhstan, leading to the safe evacuation of all patients and medical staff. The quick response of emergency services prevented any casualties.
Fire Erupts in Basement
The fire started in the basement of the medical facility located on Koshkarbayev Street in the Saraishyk district. The cause of the blaze has been identified as an electrical panel malfunction in the basement area.
Rapid Response and Evacuation
Upon receiving the alert, the first fire crews arrived at the scene within two minutes and immediately began firefighting operations. For safety reasons, patients and staff were temporarily transferred to nearby medical institutions. A command post and a heating station were established at the incident site to manage the situation.
Damage Contained, No Injuries Reported
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the rescue teams, the fire was completely extinguished and contained to an area of 10 square meters. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. Investigations are currently underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
