From Ruin to Riches: Entrepreneur's Journey Back from Financial Hardship
Kazakh entrepreneur Tursengali Alaguzov, the founder of the "Maxi Chai" brand and owner of Galanz Bottlers, has revealed the motivations behind his decision to gift apartments to his employees. This comes after reports that the businessman had previously gifted 100 apartments to company staff.
Navigating Financial Storms
During a recent address, Alaguzov reflected on a particularly challenging period in his life. He recounted losing his business and surviving for several years on a meager income of 200,000 tenge per month. This experience, he shared, profoundly taught him the critical importance of hope and a belief in the future.
"Today is a very emotional moment for me because I myself went through a period where I was earning only 200,000 tenge a month for three years. It was incredibly difficult. I lost my business, and I had nothing left to live on," Alaguzov stated.
He admitted to meticulously budgeting every tenge, even for the most basic necessities. "I counted every day: 10,000 tenge for this, 5,000 tenge for milk. I went through all of that. It was very hard for me," the entrepreneur shared.
A Promise to Support Others
Alaguzov explained that once he regained the ability to support others, he was determined to help those who had worked alongside him. He emphasized that his own fear of losing his home during his financial struggles was a constant source of anxiety.
"Now, when I have the opportunity to help my colleagues, I realized I had to help people without hesitation, regardless of anything. Because when I was earning 300,000 tenge, my apartment was mortgaged, and I lived in fear every day that it would be repossessed," he said.
Alaguzov made a personal vow to assist others should he be able to recover his business. "I understood all of this, I knew how difficult it was. I promised myself that if I could get my business back, I would help people," the businessman declared.
Generosity Towards Employees
Addressing his assembled employees, Alaguzov announced his intention to gift them apartments. "Today, guys, I want to gift each and every one of you an apartment from myself," he stated.
The entrepreneur highlighted that during his own difficult times, the most crucial elements he lacked were a sense of security for the future and peace of mind. "When I was struggling, I didn't have that certainty about the future. That's what was hard. I want you to have that certainty about the future," he concluded.
