Kaisar Plaza, Once Owned by Kairat Satybaldy, Hits Auction Block for 61 Billion Tenge
A significant commercial property in Almaty, formerly owned by Kairat Satybaldy, is set to be auctioned off by the state. The Kaisar Plaza shopping and office center will go under the hammer with a starting price of 61 billion Kazakhstani tenge.
State Recovers and Auctions Former Asset
The Kaisar Plaza, once under the ownership of Kairat Satybaldy, was identified in 2023 as an asset acquired through illicit means. Following legal proceedings, the property was returned to the state and transferred to the balance of the Ministry of Finance. Now, the government is moving to sell this recovered asset through a public auction platform.
Property Details and Current Occupants
Kaisar Plaza is a nine-story complex featuring both retail spaces and office facilities. The building includes a parking area and a panoramic floor, offering extensive views. Currently, 53 organizations operate within the center. These tenants include major banks, media outlets, and various cafes, indicating the building's established commercial value.
Auction Terms and Conditions
Interested parties must submit a bid bond of 9.2 billion tenge to participate in the auction. The bidding process is scheduled to commence on April 7th. This sale follows previous attempts to auction other assets previously linked to Kairat Satybaldy, such as the 'Baysat' market, which saw its price reduced over multiple sale attempts.
