Employees of contractor companies in Aktau have once again released a video appeal, demanding to be hired into the permanent staff of Karazhanbasmunai JSC. The company has now issued an official response to this ongoing issue.

Contractor Demands

It has been clarified that the individuals featured in the video are not former employees of Karazhanbasmunai but rather workers from external contracting organizations. These workers are insisting on being integrated into the company's own workforce.

Company's Official Response

According to the press service of Karazhanbasmunai JSC, the company does not engage in hiring employees from contractor organizations into its own staff. Work is carried out based on contracts established with these external companies.

These contracted services include a range of essential operations such as technical maintenance for vehicles, building cleaning, preparation of drilling fluids, and the provision of services forvahtovyı (shift-based) facilities.

"Employees of contractor organizations are in an employment relationship solely with their employers – the contracting companies – and are not considered employees of Karazhanbasmunai JSC. They are neither outstaffed personnel nor employees on the company's payroll," the company's statement read.

Furthermore, Karazhanbasmunai JSC emphasized that it fully and timely fulfills all its obligations under the contracts with these organizations. However, the company stressed that it is not responsible for the human resources policies of these independent contracting firms.

"Issues related to employment and working conditions remain exclusively within the competence of the employers – the contracting organizations," the press service concluded.

This situation follows previous reports where workers from contractor companies in Aktau had previously demanded a transfer to the permanent staff of Karazhanbasmunai.
