Kazakh Drivers Sue National Company Over Road Damage
Drivers across Kazakhstan are increasingly taking legal action against the national company KazAvtoZhol, demanding compensation for damage sustained by their vehicles due to the poor state of the country's roads.
The issue has reached the courts, with the Chairman of the National Company's Management Board, Darkhan Imanashev, confirming that approximately seven lawsuits are currently being considered against KazAvtoZhol.
Drivers Cite Poor Road Quality
Vehicle owners are citing the substandard quality of roads as the direct cause of their vehicle damage. Common complaints include punctured tires and damage to internal suspension components, directly attributed to potholes and deteriorating road surfaces.
KazAvtoZhol Open to Compensation
Imanashev emphasized that the company is prepared to address these claims through legal channels. If a court confirms that the damage was indeed caused by road conditions, KazAvtoZhol has stated its readiness to compensate for the incurred losses.
This situation highlights a growing trend of citizens seeking accountability for infrastructure deficiencies. Previously, information was disseminated regarding the process for claiming compensation for road-related vehicle damage, outlining the rights of motorists and the procedures for seeking reimbursement.
