Kazakh Man Caught Trying to Buy Medical Diploma for $1,300
A 24-year-old man in the Abai region of Kazakhstan has become the victim of an elaborate scam, attempting to purchase a medical diploma for 600,000 tenge (approximately $1,300 USD). The incident came to light when the young man reported the fraud to the police after failing to receive the promised qualification.
According to reports, the aspiring diploma holder had handed over the substantial sum to a 44-year-old woman who claimed she could arrange for the creation of a medical degree. The transaction took place in February, but when the diploma failed to materialize, the victim realized he had been deceived and sought help from law enforcement.
Investigation and Arrest
Following the victim's complaint, the police launched an investigation. During the course of their inquiry, the suspect, the 44-year-old woman, was apprehended. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the alleged fraudulent activity.
Official Warning Issued
Authorities are using this case to issue a stern warning to the public. Police officials emphasized that attempting to obtain official documents, such as diplomas, through "expedited" or "unofficial" means is illegal. Individuals engaging in such practices not only risk significant financial loss but also face potential criminal charges.
