Kazakh Striker Aibat Aymbetov Joins European Club Petrocul Ploiești
Kazakhstan national team striker Aibat Aymbetov is set to make his mark on the European football scene after officially joining Romanian club Petrocul Ploiești. The move comes as a significant step for the 30-year-old forward, who has signed a one-year contract with the Romanian side.

Petrocul Ploiești announced that the agreement with Aymbetov is initially for one year, with an option for extension. The club highlighted that Aymbetov's acquisition is intended to strengthen their attacking capabilities. This move signifies a new chapter for the Kazakhstani player in European football.

The Romanian club acknowledged Aymbetov's successful career in his home country, noting his achievements as a three-time champion and a Kazakhstan Cup winner. Internationally, Aymbetov has represented Kazakhstan in 45 matches, scoring 9 goals for the national team. Previous Clubs and Interest
Prior to joining the Romanian club, Aymbetov played for Turkish side Adana Demirspor for about a season and a half, where he scored 6 goals in 37 appearances. His career also includes stints with prominent Kazakh clubs such as Kairat, Astana, and Aktobe, as well as Russian club Krylia Sovetov. Earlier, Aymbetov had also attracted interest from Iranian club Persepolis.
